David has a degree in Marketing from the University of Stirling, with experience supporting businesses and third sector organisations across Scotland and beyond. He has extensive events experience, organising everything from small networking sessions to large international conferences, supporting these events with targeted marketing campaigns.

Kasia joined Food Standards Scotland (FSS) at its inception, following from her role as a Scientific Advisor at the Food Standards Agency in Scotland, where she worked from 2009 after an academic research career. Kasia leads a multidisciplinary team providing scientific advice on marine science and shellfish hygiene and safety, supporting delivery of the official control monitoring programme and evidence-based policy and regulatory decisions to protect public health.

years, specialising in dinoflagellate and their resting stages. She has
good experience of organising national and international scientific meetings
and is looking forward to welcoming the international harmful algal bloom
community to Scotland.

Andrew is the Head of the Toxins and Contaminants Group at the Cefas Weymouth Laboratory. He has over 20 years experience with marine algal toxins and cyanobacterial toxins, including method development, validation and assessment of emerging threats.
